Maria Rúbies i Garrofé (Camarasa, Noguera, 21st November 1932-Lleida 14th January 1993) was a Catalan teacher and politician.

She was a high school teacher in La Seu d'Urgell (now IES Joan Brudieu) in the 1962-1963 school year, where she held the position of Head of Studies.

 

In 1973 she was professor of Mathematics at the University School of Lleida. She was appointed a Member of the UdL Management Committee in 1992, and in January 1993 she died after a long illness.
